Chris Bosh's career ending was one of the most unfair and heartbreaking in NBA history. The Miami Heat legend suffered an illness that ended his tenure in the league and threatened his life, forcing him to make a difficult decision.

Back in 2016, he started struggling with a blood clot in his leg that forced him to miss the second half of the 2015/16 season with the Miami Heat. He attempted to return to the league in the next three seasons, but things didn't play in his favor.

Now Bosh is hours away from being inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, following a career that didn't lack incredible moments. The player recently shared an inspiring message on Instagram, reminding people that when things don't look promising, life will always find a way to make it up for you, just like it happened to him.

Reflecting on his career and what happened after his premature retirement, Bosh wrote:

My career didn’t end soaked in champagne, celebrating a championship, or even in tears on the court. It ended in a doctor’s office in the middle of the afternoon. But when a door is closed, a window opens.

New challenges ahead.

Five years after his last NBA game, the big man is set to enter the hall of immortals. He had an excellent stint with the Toronto Raptors before taking things to the next level with the Miami Heat from 2010 through 2016.

Sadly, his career couldn't last longer, but Bosh left a lot of good memories for fans during his days in Toronto and South Beach. As he stated, new challenges wait now, and he'll try to get the best of them.
